The Audison AK 6.5 C2.1 from the Prima series is a high-performance 2-way component system designed for high-quality in-car speaker upgrades. With its low 2-ohm impedance, the system achieves a high output level even at relatively low amplifier power, making it suitable for both OEM upgrades and use with high-performance car audio amplifiers.

The set combines the 165-mm AP 6.5 C2 low-midrange drivers with the compact 26-mm AP 1 C2 tweeters. The treated paper cone of the low-midrange drivers combines low weight with the stiffness required for controlled and dynamic sound reproduction. As a result, the system delivers powerful bass and kick drum reproduction, as well as a natural rendering of the midrange.

Separate AP 1 C2 tweeters are used for the high frequencies. Because the mid-bass driver and tweeter are positioned separately, the soundstage can be adapted much better to the specific installation locations in the vehicle than with a traditional coaxial system.

A distinctive feature of the AK 6.5 C2.1 is its separate inline crossovers for the low-midrange driver and tweeter. This compact solution makes installation particularly easy in vehicles where the low-midrange driver and tweeter are physically separated from one another. The crossovers are tuned to a crossover frequency of 4 kHz.
