AudioControl EPICENTER PRO

The AudioControl EPICENTER PRO is a powerful digital bass restoration processor for car audio systems in which low-frequency information in the music signal is missing or has been attenuated. AudioControl’s proven bass restoration technology analyzes the existing harmonics in the music signal and uses them to reconstruct lower-frequency bass components. This allows for a significantly stronger and more impactful bass foundation, particularly with recordings that have reduced low-frequency bass or when used with appropriately tuned source devices.

Unlike traditional bass-boost circuits, the EPICENTER PRO does not rely solely on a simple level boost. Digital bass restoration generates additional low-frequency signal components based on the existing harmonic information. Using the ParaBASS control, the generated bass can be specifically tailored to the subwoofer, the vehicle’s acoustics, and your personal listening preferences.

In addition, the EPICENTER PRO features a built-in line driver. This provides a powerful, clean output signal for downstream amplifiers, thereby facilitating an optimal gain structure within the car audio system. The maximum output voltage is 9 V RMS or 13 V peak.

A switchable PFM subsonic filter is available to protect the subwoofer. It can be activated at 24 Hz or bypassed entirely. Balanced inputs ensure low-noise signal transmission while reducing susceptibility to electrical interference.

A dynamic LED display shows the status of the Bass Restoration feature. The AudioControl ACR-4 remote control, which comes included, is particularly convenient thanks to its two controls. It allows you to easily adjust the Bass Restoration and subwoofer output levels from the driver's seat.
