The Audio System Italy ASS 15 is a high-performance 38-cm subwoofer designed for car audio applications that require high volume levels, powerful low-frequency bass, and a rugged construction. With an RMS power handling capacity of 1,000 watts and a dual 2-ohm voice coil, the ASS 15 provides a flexible foundation for high-performance subwoofer systems.

The diaphragm is made of unpressed paper containing fibers. This design combines a relatively low moving mass with the stability required for high sound levels. A carbon dust cap further enhances the rigidity of the diaphragm system.

The drive system features a powerful ferrite magnet and a 75-mm voice coil. A reinforced suspension system with progressive, double-layer spiders is designed to withstand high mechanical stress and large cone excursions. At the same time, the design focuses on effective heat dissipation to ensure the subwoofer operates reliably even under sustained high loads.

Thanks to its two 2-ohm voice coils, the ASS 15 can be operated at a total impedance of either 1 ohm or 4 ohms, depending on the wiring configuration, allowing it to be flexibly adapted to various mono amplifiers.
