The Audio System Italy ASS 12 is a powerful 30-cm subwoofer for car audio systems that require high volume, deep bass, and a durable design. With an RMS power handling capacity of 1,000 watts and a 75-mm voice coil, the ASS 12 provides a solid foundation for performance-oriented subwoofer systems.
The paper diaphragm is complemented by a carbon dust cap and combines a comparatively low moving mass with high stability. A stitched surround and dual centering ensure controlled cone movement even at higher excursion levels. The solid die-cast aluminum basket provides the necessary mechanical stability.
The dual 2-ohm voice coil allows for flexible subwoofer wiring, making it easier to adapt to different mono power amplifiers. The vented motor design also aids in heat dissipation around the voice coil.
The ASS 12 can be used in both sealed and bass-reflex enclosures. This makes it suitable for a variety of system configurations—from a compact bass solution to a bass-reflex setup designed for significantly higher sound levels.
