The Audio System Italy AF8000 is a powerful digital monoblock amplifier designed for demanding car audio and SPL applications. With an output power of up to 8,000 watts RMS at 1 ohm, the amplifier provides enormous power reserves for high-performance subwoofer systems.
The Class D circuit combines high output power with an efficient amplifier design. The AF8000 is not designed exclusively for traditional subwoofer operation, but rather as a full-range monoblock. As a result, the amplifier offers a particularly wide range of applications within performance-oriented car audio systems.
For the AF8000, Audio System Italy relies on carefully selected components, MOSFETs, and passive components with tight tolerances. A design engineered for high power handling and robust terminal blocks allow for the use of correspondingly large power and speaker cables.
An adjustable high-pass or subsonic filter and a low-pass filter are available for adjusting the audio system. In addition, the low-frequency range can be boosted using the built-in bass boost.
A comprehensive protection system monitors the amplifier during operation. Among other things, it monitors for short circuits at the output, DC voltage at the speaker output, excessive temperatures, and a supply voltage outside the permissible range.
