Audio System AE-8A

The Audio System Italy AE-8A is a compact, active subwoofer designed for vehicles that require powerful bass with minimal installation effort. The system combines a 20 cm (8-inch) subwoofer with a Class A/B power amplifier integrated directly into the enclosure. This eliminates the need for a separate subwoofer amplifier.

The sturdy enclosure has a compact design and is covered in black felt. In addition to the 20-cm subwoofer itself, the system features two passive radiators, also 20 cm in diameter. These enhance low-frequency reproduction and enable powerful bass output despite the enclosure’s relatively compact dimensions.

For integration into various car audio systems, the AE-8A features both a Cinch/RCA low-level input and a high-level input. The high-level input allows the active subwoofer to be connected to many factory-installed car stereos or OEM sound systems. The built-in Auto-Turn-On function simplifies installation in vehicles without a traditional remote wire.

Sound adjustments can be made directly on the built-in power amplifier. The low-pass filter is adjustable in the range of 40 to 180 Hz. A variable bass boost and phase reversal are also available. The subwoofer level can be conveniently adjusted from the driver’s seat using the included wired remote control.
