The Audio System Italy AD850 is a high-performance mono amplifier designed specifically to drive subwoofers in car audio systems. The efficient Class D circuitry delivers high output power in a compact design, making it suitable for both performance-oriented everyday systems and more sophisticated subwoofer setups.
At 4 ohms, the AD850 already delivers 500 watts RMS, while up to 850 watts RMS are available at 2 ohms. This allows for the proper operation of numerous high-power single- and dual-voice-coil subwoofers.
To adapt to the specific subwoofer system, the amplifier features an adjustable low-pass filter. In addition, the bass range can be selectively boosted using the built-in bass boost. The filter slope of 24 dB/octave ensures a clean acoustic separation between the subwoofer and the other speakers.
Thanks to its compact design—measuring just 52 mm in height—the AD850 can be easily integrated into a vehicle even when space is limited. A high-level input with an automatic power-on function also makes it easy to integrate into vehicles equipped with a factory-installed radio or OEM sound system.
