ARC8 VW Crafter

The ARC Audio ARC8 CRAF is a vehicle-specific subwoofer solution for the VW Crafter 7C0, VW Grand California, and the structurally identical MAN TGE. The compact enclosure was specifically designed for installation inside the low single-seat console, thereby significantly expanding the low-frequency range without taking up valuable space in the passenger compartment or cargo area.

Inside, a 20-cm ARC Audio subwoofer operates in a compact, sealed enclosure with a net volume of approximately 11 liters. The down-firing design directs the woofer downward and utilizes the available space under the seat for powerful bass reproduction. The sturdy enclosure is made of 12-mm-thick plywood and is covered with black felt.

Thanks to its various impedance options, the ARC8 CRAF can be flexibly combined with different power amplifiers and DSP amplifiers. The 2+2-ohm version is particularly well-suited for corresponding amplifier configurations, such as when paired with compatible MATCH power amplifiers.

Installation is also possible in a VW Grand California with a Kathrein module mounted under the seat. The module can be positioned vertically inside the seat console, which requires two F-connector angle adapters. Depending on the vehicle’s configuration, it may be necessary to reroute individual existing connectors to the side, under the B-pillar trim.
