HiFonics ZXT15D2

The HiFonics ZXT15D2 from the ZEUS EXTREME series was designed for uncompromising bass performance and extreme sound pressure levels. With a power handling capacity of 3,500 watts RMS and up to 7,000 watts of peak power, this 38 cm (15-inch) subwoofer is designed specifically for discerning car audio enthusiasts and high-performance SPL applications.

At its core is a solid triple-magnet drive with three ferrite magnets and a total magnet mass of approximately 8.5 kg. The generously sized 100-mm dual voice coil, combined with temperature-resistant pi-CCAR flat wire, ensures high thermal resilience.

The carbon-reinforced carbon composite diaphragm, featuring a three-layer sandwich construction, combines high rigidity with comparatively low weight. A specially developed RSA (Reinforced Structure Array) surround supports controlled diaphragm movement even during extreme deflections. In addition, three Nomex centering spiders ensure precise guidance of the moving unit.

With a linear stroke of ±23 mm and a maximum mechanical excursion of ±30 mm, the ZXT15D2 offers excellent conditions for powerful, deep bass reproduction. The solid die-cast aluminum basket, the chrome-plated pole piece, and the sophisticated voice coil design underscore the high technical standards of this subwoofer series.
