The ingenious bass reflex design of the IK ER8.2-DVC2 MK2 guarantees not only excellent sound quality, but above all a bass performance that is second to none. Equipped with two powerful 200 mm drivers with handmade paper cones (2 x HELIX IK W8), this subwoofer produces low frequencies that are not only audible but also perceptible. Sophisticated terminal concept
The new connection terminal has a plug-in design and offers two connection options: a screw terminal for conventional speaker cables and a standardized MOLEX connection for individually assembled cable harnesses. It thus combines the best of both worlds: maximum individuality for classic HELIX installations and at the same time the plug & play logic familiar from the MATCH world. This makes installation considerably easier and enables quick, safe installation and removal, for example if more space is required. The detachable plug provides reliable protection against short circuits, as no open cable ends remain in the vehicle.
Flexible connection
The design as a dual voice coil woofer offers a high degree of flexibility in terms of control. Depending on the desired setup, the subwoofer can be operated via the terminal in a 1 x 1 Ω configuration (ideal for HELIX and MATCH monoblocks), 1 x 4 Ω configuration (e.g. for bridged channels of powerful multi-channel amplifiers such as from the HELIX AMPLIFY series) or 2 x 2 Ω configuration (for parallel operation with multi-channel multitools, such as from the HELIX NEXT or MATCH UPGRADE lines) - any variant is possible with these low bass specialists without any problems.
ISM-Ready - active subwoofer option
The MK2 version of the IK ER8.2-DVC2 is now ISM-ready: by replacing the passive connection terminal with the optional IMPACT subwoofer module (e.g. ISM 400.2DSP), the cabinet subwoofer can be upgraded to an active subwoofer in no time at all. As a direct-fit solution, the ISM 400.2DSP is a powerful amplifier module with integrated DSP signal processing - developed for targeted subwoofer retrofits in modern vehicles with factory-fitted sound systems. The result is a compact all-in-one solution comprising amplification and DSP signal processing for impressive, controlled bass - without having to completely rebuild the existing system.
Robust and durable
The recessed subwoofer chassis ensures a slim, space-saving design and at the same time offers improved protection for the speakers. Added to this is the hard-wearing needle felt coating including embroidered HELIX logo, which gives the enclosure both style and durability. Extra security is provided by the enclosed mounting set, which ensures reliable fastening in the spare wheel well.
