HiFonics MRX168A

The HiFonics MERCURY MRX168A is an exceptionally compact active under-seat subwoofer that delivers powerful bass reproduction despite its small size. With an enclosure measuring just 26 x 19.5 cm, the system takes up significantly less space than many conventional active subwoofers, making it particularly well-suited for vehicles with limited installation options.

Inside, an oval 15 x 20 cm (6 x 8-inch) subwoofer with a specially developed aluminum cone is at work. This cone is characterized by its high stability and withstands the high pressure loads inside the compact enclosure. The powerful driver, featuring a 36-mm voice coil, works in conjunction with the integrated Class A/B amplifier to deliver controlled and dynamic bass reproduction.

The built-in power amplifier delivers 100 watts RMS and up to 200 watts of maximum output power. The adjustable low-pass filter, switchable phase, and adjustable bass boost allow the system to be customized to match your existing sound system.

Thanks to high-level inputs with an automatic power-on function and additional RCA inputs, the MRX168A is suitable for both retrofitting factory-installed car stereos and aftermarket radios. An external bass-level remote control allows for convenient adjustment of the bass level from the driver's seat. The short-circuit-proof 10-pin system connector also makes it easy to remove the subwoofer if necessary.
