With the Comfort Mat Tsunami 18 mm, you can specifically optimize the sound of your car speakers in areas where conventional aluminum-butyl mats reach their limits. This specially developed acoustic foam mat is applied as a second layer of insulation over existing vibration damping material and reduces unwanted sound reflections and standing waves inside the door cavity. The result is significantly more precise music reproduction with cleaner mids, more controlled bass, and less resonance.

Thanks to its water-resistant acoustic foam made from synthetic rubbers, the Tsunami is ideal for use in the wet areas of vehicle doors and wheel wells. The strong self-adhesive layer ensures a durable bond with the surface and enables professional acoustic optimization in car audio installations.

Quick Installation Guide

Remove the vehicle trim and thoroughly clean and degrease the surface to be covered with the film.
Apply a suitable vibration damping material (e.g., aluminum butyl) to the sheet metal as the first layer and press it down carefully with a pressure roller.
Next, cut the Comfort Mat Tsunami to size.
In cold weather, gently warm the mat with a heat gun or hair dryer to optimize its adhesive properties.
Remove the protective film, apply the mat to the first layer of insulation, and press it down evenly and firmly with a pressure roller.
Make sure that the entire surface is bonded without bubbles and that no moisture or dirt is trapped.

Wie verlege ich die Tsunami Dämmmatte richtig in der Tür?

Die Matte wird nicht direkt auf das Blech geklebt, sondern als zweite Schicht auf bereits verlegtes Alubutyl. Demontiere die Verkleidung, reinige und entfette die Fläche und bringe zuerst die Vibrationsdämmung auf. Anschließend schneidest du die Matte zu, entfernst die Schutzfolie und drückst sie mit einer Andrückrolle blasenfrei an.

Wo lässt sich die Dämmmatte außer an Türen noch einsetzen?

Besonders geeignet ist das äußere Türblech hinter dem Lautsprecher. Da Schaumstoff und Kleber wasserbeständig sind, eignet sich das Material auch für Radläufe im Fahrzeuginnenraum. Voraussetzung ist immer eine darunterliegende Schicht aus Alubutyl.

Welche Wirkung hat die Matte im Türvolumen?

Die Comfort Mat Tsunami 18mm ist ein akustischer Absorber aus AcoFoam II. Sie reduziert Schallreflexionen und stehende Wellen in der Tür und minimiert so den Echo-Effekt. Das Ergebnis sind sauberere Mitten, eine bessere Sprachverständlichkeit und ein kontrollierterer Kickbass.

Hilft die Matte gegen Straßenlärm oder verbessert sie den Klang?

Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Lautsprecherakustik, nicht auf der Isolierung gegen Fahrbahngeräusche. Die Matte optimiert den Klang dort, wo herkömmliche Alubutylmatten an ihre Grenzen stoßen. Zur Reduzierung von Fahr- und Abrollgeräuschen eignen sich Schallisolatoren wie Blockshot besser.

Welche Fläche deckt eine Platte ab?

Eine Platte misst 35 × 50 cm und deckt damit 0,175 m² ab. In der Packung sind 4 Matten enthalten, also 0,7 m². Da die Matte gezielt hinter dem Lautsprecher eingesetzt wird, brauchst du meist nur wenig Fläche. Im Comfort Mat Door-Silence-Kit für zwei Türen ist zum Beispiel eine Tsunami-Platte enthalten.

Ist die Dämmmatte wasserbeständig?

Ja, sowohl der Schaumstoff auf Basis synthetischer Kautschuke als auch der Hochleistungskleber sind wasserbeständig. Damit eignet sich die Matte für den Nassbereich von Fahrzeugtüren. Angaben zur Hitzebeständigkeit oder zum Einsatz im Motorraum macht der Hersteller nicht.

Wie lässt sich die Tsunami mit anderen Comfort Mats kombinieren?

Für ein mehrstufiges Dämmkonzept klebst du zuerst eine Antidröhnmatte aus Alubutyl auf das Blech und bringst die Absorbermatte anschließend darauf auf. Diese Schichtung kombiniert Entdröhnung mit Schallabsorption und schafft optimale Bedingungen für ein präzises Klangbild.

Wie wird die Matte richtig zugeschnitten und gelagert?

Die Matte ist 18 mm dick und flexibel, und der Zuschnitt erfolgt mit einem scharfen Cuttermesser passend zur jeweiligen Fläche. Lagere das Material trocken, flach und bei Raumtemperatur. Bei niedrigen Temperaturen hilft es, die Matte vor der Verarbeitung mit einem Föhn oder einer Heißluftpistole leicht zu erwärmen.
