The Comfort Mat SoftWave Expert is a high-quality sound absorber designed for demanding car audio and vehicle sound deadening projects. Its specially developed open-cell polyurethane structure, featuring integrated low-molecular-weight polymers, ensures exceptionally high sound absorption across a wide frequency range. The three-dimensional wave structure absorbs sound energy particularly effectively and significantly reduces unwanted reflections inside the vehicle.

Unlike traditional sound-deadening mats, SoftWave Expert is not designed to dampen sheet metal vibrations; rather, it is used as a second layer over existing aluminum butyl or vibration dampers. This effectively absorbs airborne sound, resonances, and high-frequency road, wind, and tire noise. The result is a significantly quieter interior and more precise, cleaner sound reproduction from the speakers. The elastic structure with a memory effect also adapts perfectly to even complex contours and tight installation spaces.

Quick Installation Guide

Thoroughly clean the vehicle's surface to remove dust, grease, and dirt.
First, properly install a suitable aluminum butyl or vibration-damping mat as the first layer.
Cut SoftWave Expert to the required size.
If the ambient temperature is low, gently warm the adhesive with a heat gun or a hair dryer.
Remove the protective film and apply the mat to the first layer that has already been laid, making sure there are no air bubbles.
Use a pressure roller to press it down evenly and firmly to ensure optimal adhesion.
Make sure there is enough space for trim pieces and moving parts

Wie wird die Softwave Expert 15mm Dämmung fachgerecht verbaut?

Die Softwave Expert kommt als zweite Schicht auf eine bereits verlegte Alubutyl- oder Vibrationsdämmung. Reinige die Fläche, schneide die Matte zu, ziehe die Schutzfolie ab und drücke sie mit einem Andrückroller gleichmäßig und blasenfrei an. Dank der selbstklebenden Ausführung gelingt eine schnelle Montage, achte aber auf genug Platz für die Verkleidung.

Woraus besteht der Schaumstoff der Softwave Expert?

Sie besteht aus offenzelligem Hochleistungs-Polyurethanschaum mit einer speziellen Füllung aus niedermolekularen Polymeren. Die wellenförmige 3D-Oberfläche vergrößert die Absorptionsfläche. Dank Memory-Effekt passt sich die sehr weiche Matte auch an komplexe Konturen an.

Kann ich die Softwave Expert direkt auf das Blech kleben?

Nein, sie dient nicht zur Vibrationsdämpfung des Blechs, sondern ist als zweite Schicht vorgesehen. Zuerst bringst du eine Alubutyl- oder Vibrationsdämmmatte auf, danach folgt die Softwave Expert.

Ist die Softwave wasserfest?

Nein, das Material selbst ist nicht wasserfest. Der Hochleistungskleber auf der Rückseite ist jedoch feuchtigkeitsbeständig und sorgt für eine dauerhafte Verbindung.

Wo lässt sich die Softwave im Fahrzeug einsetzen?

Geeignet sind Türverkleidungen, Fahrzeugdächer, Kofferraumdeckel, die innenliegende Spritzwand und Radkästen im Innenbereich. Auch Hohlräume mit ausreichender Einbautiefe lassen sich füllen. Durch den Memory-Effekt ist die Matte flexibel einsetzbar.

Welche Maße und welches Gewicht hat die Matte?

Eine Matte misst 700 × 1000 mm, also 0,70 m², bei 15 mm Stärke. Mit ca. 0,48 kg pro Matte bzw. 0,68 kg/m² ist sie sehr leicht. Geliefert wird sie als Einzelmatte.

Ist die Softwave Expert mit Dämmstoffen aus dem Hausbau vergleichbar?

Nein, zwischen den Arten der Schaumstoff-Dämmung gibt es große Unterschiede. Dämmstoffe auf Basis von geschäumten Kunststoffen wie Formteile aus EPS, XPS (extrudiertes Polystyrol), PIR oder PE-Schaumstoffe aus Polyethylenschaum dienen in Neubau und Sanierung als Barriere gegen Kälte, etwa als Fassadendämmung oder im WDVS. Sie werden nach Wärmeleitfähigkeit (λ-Wert) und Druckfestigkeit bewertet. Die Softwave Expert ähnelt eher einem Noppenschaum für Schallschutz und ist als hochwertige Lösung für Schall- und Geräuschdämmung im Auto entwickelt.

Trägt die Softwave Expert zur Schalldämmung bei?
