The HORIZON HZ amplifier connection sets offer everything you need to connect an amplifier. Powerful amplifiers can only deliver an optimum output line if a stable power supply is also ensured, which is precisely why ESX offers a total of three different cable cross-sections for the perfect power supply to suit your amplifier. The sets include power cables with CCAW (copper-coated aluminum with high density), which guarantees excellent conductivity.

How do I fit the ESX HZ10WK correctly in my car?

The ESX HZ10WK is routed from the positive terminal of the battery into the passenger compartment via a cable grommet. Connect the red power cable to the amplifier via the fuse, and the silver earth cable to a bare point on the bodywork. Run the RCA cables to the head unit separately from the power cables.

What amplifier power can I supply to the ESX HZ10WK?

The 10 mm² cable kit is designed for high-power power amplifiers up to approximately 800 watts RMS. The stable power supply provided by the thick cable ensures clean signal transmission without any voltage drop, even at high power levels. For even more powerful power amplifiers, we recommend larger cable cross-sections.

Is the ESX HZ10WK suitable for subwoofers?

Yes, the cable kit is perfect for connecting subwoofers. The excellent conductivity of the 10mm² cable ensures that your bass is reproduced cleanly and powerfully. The optimum output power for connecting an amplifier – and thus, indirectly, for subwoofer set-ups when an amplifier is used.

How long are the cables on the ESX HZ10WK?

The set typically contains 5 metres of power cable and 5 metres of RCA cable. This length is sufficient for most vehicles to run the cables from the engine compartment to the boot. For particularly long vehicles, you should check the length beforehand.

Can I also use the ESX HZ10WK with standard speakers?

The cable kit is primarily designed for connecting amplifiers. You do not need this set for standard speakers without an amplifier – the car radio’s existing speaker cables are sufficient in this case. The ESX HZ10WK is used with external amplifiers.

What fuse do I need for the ESX HZ10WK?

The fuse should be selected according to your amplifier’s power rating. For 10 mm² cables, we recommend a 60–80-amp fuse, depending on the amplifier. The fuse must always be suitable for the power rating and should be fitted no more than 30 cm from the battery terminal.

What is included in the ESX HZ10WK package?
