The net volume is always particularly important here; calculate the subwoofer’s actual resonant chamber volume beforehand to get the correct result. The net volume is calculated by subtracting all dead spaces and is crucial for enclosure design.

HiFonics MBP bass package

There are many complete packages on the market, making it difficult to find your way around. Our tip: Don't just rely on the wattage, as the power input (e.g. that of a speaker) and the power output (e.g. that of an amplifier) are often added together for advertising purposes. What is important, however, is what comes out at the end, regardless of how many watts are used. The result is called sound pressure or thrust or bass fun and is measured in decibels (dB). In the case of the MERCURY MBP bass package, you can look forward to 141 dB of sound pressure in a medium-sized vehicle and therefore a lot of fun (measured with the Term-Lab system at 52 Hz in a VW Golf V). As the set includes a 4-channel amp, after connecting the subwoofer to channels 3+4, the two 2 x 125 watt front channels are available to drive the front speakers. By the way: 10 dB is generally perceived as double the acoustic volume

Wie wird das Hifonics Basspaket richtig angeschlossen?

Der MBP1000.4 Verstärker lässt sich dank mitgeliefertem HF10WK Kabelkit direkt anschließen. Verbinde die Endstufe über die beigelegten Kabel mit deiner Autobatterie und dem Subwoofer – die 60A Mini ANL Sicherung ist bereits integriert.

Welche Leistung bringt der Mercury Verstärker im 1-Kanal Modus?

Im 1-Kanal-Modus (Monobetrieb) liefert der 4-Kanal-Mercury-Verstärker maximal ca. 250 Watt an deinen Subwoofer. Die Gesamtleistung des Verstärkers liegt bei 500 Watt – für deinen Sub steht davon aber nur etwa die Hälfte zur Verfügung, was dennoch für einen kräftigen, sauberen Bass sorgt.

Ist das Bass Power Package mit anderen Lautsprechern kombinierbar?

Ja, der MBP1000.4 arbeitet als flexibler 4-Kanal Verstärker auch mit weiteren Lautsprechern zusammen. Du kannst Front- und Rear-Speaker parallel zum mitgelieferten MR8BP Subwoofer betreiben.

Wie lange hält die Mercury IV Endstufe bei Dauerbetrieb?

Die robuste Verstärker-Technologie ist für langlebigen Einsatz konstruiert. Bei sachgemäßer Installation und normalem Gebrauch arbeitet die Hifonics Endstufe viele Jahre zuverlässig.
