The Comfort Mat VESPA 2.5 mm is a high-quality aluminum-butyl damping mat designed to effectively reduce vibrations and structure-borne noise on vehicle body panels. Thanks to its balanced material thickness, it is ideal for areas with light to moderate vibration exposure and provides the perfect foundation for a professional vehicle sound deadening system. The combination of a high-quality butyl polymer layer and a sturdy aluminum foil ensures high inherent stiffness of the panels, reduces annoying resonances, and simultaneously improves the sound quality of speaker systems.

The VESPA 2.5 mm is applied directly to the body panel as the first layer of insulation (vibration damping). It stiffens the sheet metal, minimizes vibrations, and creates the ideal base for an optional second layer of sound absorber or acoustic foam to further reduce airborne noise and other sounds. Thanks to its high adhesive strength, water resistance, and corrosion-inhibiting properties, it is ideally suited for long-term use in vehicles

Installation Instructions

Thoroughly clean the surface to remove dust, grease, oil, and moisture.
Cut the insulation mat to size and remove the protective film.
Apply the mat directly to the cleaned body panel.
At low ambient temperatures, the mat can be gently heated to about 40–50 °C to facilitate installation and adhesion (this is generally not necessary at normal temperatures).
Next, use a pressure roller to carefully press the mat into place, ensuring there are no air bubbles, until it is fully in contact with the sheet metal.
For maximum sound insulation, a second layer of sound absorbers or acoustic foam can then be applied.

Wie bringe ich die Comfort Mat Vespa richtig an?

Reinige die Fläche gründlich von Staub, Fett, Öl und Feuchtigkeit, schneide die Matte zu und ziehe die Schutzfolie ab. Danach wird sie direkt aufs Blech geklebt und mit einem Andruckroller blasenfrei angepresst. Nur bei niedrigen Temperaturen hilft ein Erwärmen auf etwa 40–50 °C. Schneide die Matte vorher passgenau zu, damit die Karosse vollflächig ausgekleidet wird.

Ist die Matte speziell für Vespa-Roller gedacht?

Nein, „VESPA“ ist nur der Produktname bei Comfort Mat. Es handelt sich um eine universelle Alubutyl-Vibrationsdämmmatte für Fahrzeugbleche, die als erste Schicht verklebt wird.

Woraus besteht die Vespa Dämmmatte und ist sie hitzebeständig?

Sie besteht aus einer hochwertigen Butyl-Polymerschicht mit 100 µm starker Aluminiumfolie. Der Hersteller beschreibt sie als wasserbeständig und widerstandsfähig gegen Feuchtigkeit und Umwelteinflüsse. Eine konkrete Temperaturgrenze gibt er nicht an.

Reduziert die 2.5 mm Dämmung wirklich das Motorgeräusch?

Ja, sie dämpfen Blechschwingungen und Körperschall deutlich und verringert Klapper- und Vibrationsgeräusche. Zusätzlich versteift sie dünne Bleche, was die Klangqualität von Lautsprechern verbessert. Technisch entscheidend ist der mechanische Verlustfaktor von 0,36.

Für welche Bereiche im Fahrzeug eignet sich die Matte?

Laut Hersteller eignet sie sich für Türen (Außen- und Innenblech), Dach, Motorhaube, Kofferraumdeckel und Seitenwände sowie für Bodenbleche mit leichten bis mittleren Vibrationsbelastungen. Auch Kunststoff- und Metallverkleidungen lassen sich damit beruhigen.

Wie viele Dämmmatten benötige ich?

Laut technischen Daten misst eine Platte 50 × 70 cm und deckt 0,35 m² ab, eine Packung mit 10 Platten entsprechend 3,5 m². Miss die Flächen vorher aus, um die passende Menge zu bestimmen.

Wie lange hält die Matte und wie bewahre ich Reste auf?

Bei fachgerechter Montage schrumpft die Matte laut Hersteller nicht und löst sich nicht ab. Außerdem schützt sie das Blech zusätzlich vor Korrosion. Reste lagerst du trocken und flach bei Raumtemperatur.

Lässt sich die Matte mit anderen Materialien kombinieren?

Ja, sie ist als Basis für ein mehrschichtiges Dämmkonzept gedacht. Auf die geklebte erste Schicht folgt eine optionale zweite Schicht aus Schallabsorber oder Schaumstoff, die Luftschall zusätzlich dämpfen kann.
