ESX SX800.4

The ESX SIGNUM SX800.4 is a compact and powerful 4-channel Class D amplifier designed for high-end car audio systems. Despite its very compact dimensions, the amplifier delivers up to 4 x 200 watts RMS into 2 ohms, making it ideal for driving high-power front and rear speakers or a fully active 2-way system.

The solid die-cast aluminum housing facilitates effective heat dissipation and, together with the highly efficient Class D circuitry, enables a compact design. According to the manufacturer, efficiency is up to 90%.

For flexible system configuration, the SX800.4 features independently adjustable high-pass and low-pass filters for the front and rear channel pairs. Both filter ranges can be adjusted from 50 to 5,000 Hz, allowing the tweeters and midrange drivers of a fully active speaker system to be driven directly.

Alternatively, two channels can be bridged at a time. In bridge mode, up to 2 x 400 watts RMS at 4 ohms is available. This makes it possible, for example, to set up a classic 3-channel system consisting of a front speaker system and a subwoofer.

In addition to RCA inputs, the power amplifier also features high-level inputs with the ESX EPS® Error Protection System. This allows the SX800.4 to be easily connected to many factory-installed radios or OEM sound systems. An automatic power-on function triggered by the high-level signal further simplifies integration.
