AudioControl EPICFOUR

The AudioControl EPICFOUR is a high-performance 4-channel amplifier designed for high-end car audio systems. Despite its compact size, this Class D amplifier delivers up to 4 x 200 watts RMS into 2 ohms, making it suitable for both high-performance front and rear systems as well as active speaker setups.

Alternatively, two channels can be bridged at a time. In this configuration, the EPICFOUR delivers 2 x 400 watts RMS into 4 ohms. This allows the power amplifier to drive, for example, two particularly high-power speakers, subwoofer systems, or other components capable of handling such loads.

The modern Class D circuit combines high output power with a compact design and efficient operation. The amplifier is rated for speaker impedances as low as 2 ohms per channel.

To adapt to the speaker system, the EPICFOUR features adjustable Linkwitz-Riley high-pass filters with a slope of 12 dB/octave. The crossover frequency can be set between 50 and 500 Hz; if necessary, the high-pass filter can be completely disabled.

To ensure reliable operation, the power amplifier features an intelligent, automatically resetting protection circuit. Among other things, it monitors output overcurrent, overvoltage and undervoltage in the power supply, DC voltage at the output, and excessive operating temperature.

Sturdy direct connections with hex screws ensure a secure connection for the power supply and speaker cables. With a footprint of just 239 x 155 mm, the EPICFOUR can be installed even in spaces where there is limited room for a high-performance multichannel power amplifier.
