AudioControl EPICFIVE

The AudioControl EPICFIVE is a high-performance 5-channel amplifier designed for car audio systems in which the front and rear speakers, as well as a subwoofer, are powered by a single power amplifier. Its Class D circuitry combines high output power with a compact design, making it particularly well-suited for installations where space is limited.

Four channels power the speakers, while the fifth channel is specifically designed for the subwoofer and delivers up to 700 watts RMS at 1 ohm. In a 2-ohm system configuration, a total of 1,100 watts RMS is available. This makes it possible to drive even more demanding speaker and subwoofer combinations with a single power amplifier.

For custom system tuning, the EPICFIVE features built-in Linkwitz-Riley high-pass and low-pass filters with a 12 dB/octave slope, as well as an adjustable subsonic filter. In addition, EPIC Boost provides bass boost of up to 12 dB at 45 Hz. The included ACR-E wired remote control allows for convenient volume adjustment from the driver’s seat.

Another unique feature is the integrated EPICENTER Link. This connection makes it particularly easy to integrate the AudioControl THE EPICENTER bass restoration processor—sold separately—into the system. An intelligent auto-reset protection system monitors the power amplifier for, among other things, overcurrent, overvoltage and undervoltage, DC voltage at the output, and excessively high operating temperatures.
