AudioControl EPICBIGFOUR

The AudioControl EPICBIGFOUR is a compact 4-channel power amplifier designed for high-end car audio systems with high power requirements. Its Class D circuitry combines high output power with a space-saving design and is suitable for both high-power front and rear systems as well as for installations where two channels are to be combined into particularly powerful bridged outputs.

At 4 ohms, the EPICBIGFOUR delivers 4 × 200 watts RMS. At an impedance of 2 ohms, the power output increases to 4 × 350 watts RMS. In bridged mode, 2 × 650 watts RMS are available at 4 ohms. This means the power amplifier offers sufficient power reserves for high-quality, high-power speaker systems.

To ensure precise tuning of the connected speakers, the EPICBIGFOUR features variable high-pass and low-pass filters with Linkwitz-Riley characteristics and a 12 dB/octave slope. The wide adjustment range allows for flexible adaptation to different speaker configurations. Using the EPICENTER Link, the power amplifier can also be easily integrated into a system with a compatible AudioControl EPICENTER bass processor.

Heavy-duty power and speaker terminals with hex socket screws ensure reliable contact even at high currents. An intelligent, automatically resetting protection system monitors the power amplifier for, among other things, overcurrent, overvoltage and undervoltage, DC voltage at the output, and excessive operating temperatures.
