The net volume is always particularly important here; calculate the pure chamber of the subwoofer beforehand to arrive at the correct result. The net volume is calculated minus all displacements and is important when designing the enclosure.

The AudioControl SPK-V10 is a high-performance enclosed subwoofer from the Spike Series that combines powerful deep bass with precise and controlled reproduction. Inside the specially tuned bass-reflex enclosure is an AudioControl SPK-10S2 subwoofer with a 25 cm diameter and a total impedance of 2 Ω. This makes the SPK-V10 ideal for high-performance car audio systems that require powerful bass without the need to build a custom subwoofer enclosure.

The sturdy enclosure is made of high-density wood fiber material and is further reinforced by internal bracing. This reduces unwanted enclosure resonance, allowing the subwoofer to deliver its power in a controlled manner. The surface is coated with AudioControl’s Roadkill Armor and additionally covered with durable marine-grade vinyl. This ensures the enclosure is designed to withstand the demanding conditions inside a vehicle.

The built-in SPK-10S2 features a fiber-matrix paper cone with a mica coating and a particularly durable voice coil design. The bass-reflex enclosure is tuned to 38 Hz and delivers powerful low-frequency reproduction down to 20 Hz. A precisely applied polyfiber filling supports controlled reproduction and contributes to a tight, clean bass response.

A sturdy, powder-coated steel grille is already in place to protect the subwoofer. In addition to the standard speaker terminals, the enclosure features a quick-plug connection, allowing the subwoofer to be quickly removed from the vehicle if necessary.
