The Sundown Audio SA 18 V2 is a powerful 18-inch subwoofer designed for car audio systems that require high low-frequency output, high power handling, and controlled cone movement. With its large cone area, the SA 18 V2 is particularly well-suited for performance-oriented bass systems and installations that are designed to deliver impressive low-frequency response even at high volume levels.

At its heart is a powerful driver combined with a 2.75-inch voice coil mounted on an aluminum frame. This design enables high thermal resilience and supports efficient heat dissipation. The linear diaphragm excursion is 19 mm in one direction, allowing the 46-cm driver to move large volumes of air even at high excursion levels.

An aluminum Faraday ring is used in the magnet system to reduce the effects of inductance. This contributes to more controlled drive and lower distortion. A vented magnet structure and optimized pole piece ventilation also help cool the voice coil.

To ensure mechanical stability, Sundown Audio relies, among other things, on a solid die-cast aluminum basket, a robust centering mechanism, and reinforced, stitched XL Tinsel leads. A durable paper cone and a sturdy foam surround round out the design.

The SA 18 V2 is available in both Dual 2-ohm (D2) and Dual 4-ohm (D4) configurations, allowing it to be flexibly adapted to different amplifier and wiring setups.
