Sundown NS V.6 15"

The Sundown Audio Nightshade NS v.6 15" is a high-performance subwoofer designed without compromise for powerful car audio and SPL systems. The Nightshade series combines enormous power handling with a very large linear cone excursion and a sophisticated neodymium driver. This makes the NS v.6 particularly well-suited for systems that require high sound pressure levels, massive low-frequency bass, and control even at very high power levels.

At the heart of the NS v.6 is its 8-layer voice coil, which—together with the powerful magnet system—is rated for a power handling capacity of 3,500 watts RMS. An extended short-circuit ring ensures the most linear drive possible and reduces unwanted distortion at high excursion levels.

Special attention was also paid to thermal resilience. An aluminum cooling ring, an additional aluminum ventilation ring, and the special air exchange system draw heated air away from the driver area and allow cooler air to flow in. This contributes to improved thermal stability, especially during long and high-power bass passages.

The specially developed Ultra-Linear Spider Pack, combined with the generously sized Mega Roll V2 surround, provides the necessary mechanical control. The maximum linear cone excursion of 35 mm Xmax in one direction enables enormous air displacement and makes the 15-inch Nightshade an excellent foundation for demanding deep bass and SPL setups
