Sundown NS V.6 10"

The Sundown Audio Nightshade NS V.6 10″ is a high-performance subwoofer built without compromise for systems that require enormous power handling, high excursion, and massive sound pressure. Despite its compact 10-inch size, the NS V.6 is rated for 3,500 watts RMS and offers an impressive linear Xmax of 35 mm.

At the heart of the Nightshade is its powerful neodymium driver, combined with a meticulously engineered 8-layer voice coil. The high motor force enables precise control of the diaphragm even during extreme excursions and at high volume levels. An extended short-circuit ring further supports the linearization of the driver and reduces unwanted distortion.

Special attention was paid to thermal management in the sixth generation of Nightshade. An aluminum cooling ring, an additional ventilation ring, and the special air exchange system specifically divert heated air away from the voice coil area while simultaneously facilitating the flow of cool air. This ensures that the voice coil remains better thermally controlled even under high continuous loads.

The Mega Roll V2 surround and the specially developed Ultra-Linear Spider package enable large, controlled cone excursions. This makes the NS V.6 suitable for both performance-oriented daily-use systems and demanding SPL and demo applications.
