The net volume is always particularly important here; calculate the pure chamber of the subwoofer beforehand to arrive at the correct result. The net volume is calculated minus all displacements and is important when designing the enclosure.

The Sundown Audio E8 v.4 is a compact 20-cm subwoofer designed for car audio applications where powerful and controlled bass is required despite limited space. The E Series was developed by Sundown Audio as a high-performance entry-level line and combines a robust design with high mechanical durability.

The E8 v.4 is particularly well-suited for compact bass-reflex enclosures. Thanks to its powerful magnetic drive, durable voice coil, and diaphragm suspension designed for high excursion, this small 8-inch subwoofer can produce a surprisingly high sound level. This makes it suitable for both space-saving everyday setups and systems that combine multiple 8-inch subwoofers.

The ventilated motor design aids heat dissipation in the area of the voice coil. At the same time, the sturdy suspension ensures reliable guidance of the diaphragm during larger excursions. Robust connection components and Sundown’s signature, heavy-duty design make the E8 v.4 an attractive solution for compact yet high-performance bass systems.
