Sundown E10 V.4

The Sundown Audio E-10 v.4 is a powerful 25-cm subwoofer from the E Series, designed for high cone excursion, powerful low-frequency bass, and a rugged construction. Despite its compact 10-inch size, it offers high power handling and is particularly well-suited for car audio systems that require powerful bass from a relatively compact bass-reflex enclosure.

At the heart of the E-10 v.4 is its powerful driver, combined with a 2.5-inch voice coil. The dual-layer magnet, along with the ventilated magnetic gap and pole piece, aid in heat dissipation during sustained high-power operation. The voice coil is constructed using a four-layer copper wire that is resistant to high temperatures.

With a linear Xmax of 14 mm in one direction, the E-10 v.4 offers impressive excursion reserves for its size class. This allows the subwoofer to generate high sound pressure levels even at low frequencies. The sturdy steel basket construction, robust centering mechanism, and stitched Mini-XL tinsel leads are designed for high mechanical durability.

Sundown Audio recommends the E-10 v.4 specifically for use in bass-reflex enclosures. With a recommended net volume of about 28 liters, even a single 10-inch driver is enough to create a powerful bass system.
