Car subwoofers: Powerful for the ideal bass in Your Car Audio

When choosing a power amplifier, you’ll come across two main types: active and passive models. Deciding between them can make a difference in ease of setup and sound quality. An active amplified subwoofer is an all-in-one solution, featuring an integrated amplifier, making it easy to connect and use independently. A passive subwoofer, however, needs an external amplifier, providing flexibility for those who wish to customize their sound system. Our shop offers both active and passive options for your vehicle, including underseat models that fit compactly in tighter spaces.

What to look out for when buying subwoofers?

IIf you’re looking for a subwoofer box for your car, you’ll find a wide range of models available. Key factors include the diameter of the sound body and the material of the cone, both of which impact the frequencies the speaker can reproduce and overall sound quality. Common sizes are 20 cm, 25 cm, 30 cm, and 38 cm, and materials such as paper or carbon fiber influence sound characteristics. You can also select between a subwoofer enclosure with a closed design for deep, precise bass, or a bass reflex enclosure for a good balance between bass depth and volume.

Frequently Asked Questions About Car Subwoofers in Our Product Range

What frequency range do subwoofers reproduce?

These speakers generally reproduce the frequency range between 30 and 160 hertz. Depending on the model, these values may vary slightly: be sure to check the technical data if you want to buy a subwoofer online. You will find a large selection in our online shop.

Are active or passive subwoofers better?

Both types have advantages depending on your needs. An active amplified subwoofer is easier to install, while a passive one offers more customization options within a subwoofer enclosure.

Where is the best place to install my car subwoofer?

If you are using a passive subwoofer, you can install it in the boot, behind the backrest or in the spare wheel well. There are also special under-seat subwoofers. Before buying, check where the model of your choice is to be installed and whether the dimensions fit.
