The net volume is always particularly important here; calculate the pure chamber of the subwoofer beforehand to arrive at the correct result. The net volume is calculated minus all displacements and is important when designing the enclosure.

The Sundown Audio M12 from the M-Series is a powerful 30-cm subwoofer designed for massive cone excursion, powerful low-frequency bass, and low distortion. With a power handling capacity of 2,000 watts RMS, the M12 is suitable for both performance-oriented car audio systems and demanding deep-bass and SPL setups.

A distinctive feature is Sundown’s signature Mega-Roll surround, combined with the specially developed linear PG suspension. This design enables a linear Xmax of 35 mm, providing significant headroom at high volume levels and very low frequencies.

The robust drive features a four-layer magnet assembly. Combined with the aerodynamically optimized basket and sophisticated ventilation, the M12 is designed to withstand high mechanical and thermal stresses. An aluminum short-circuit ring in the magnet system further reduces inductive distortion.

The M12 is available with either 2 × 1-ohm or 2 × 2-ohm voice coils, allowing it to be flexibly adapted to different amplifier and subwoofer configurations.
