Sundown LCS-10 V2

The Sundown Audio LCS-10 V2 is a high-performance 25-cm subwoofer that, despite its comparatively compact design, delivers a long cone excursion and powerful low-frequency bass. The second generation of the LCS series has been redesigned and combines robust mechanics with effective cooling of the driver.

With a power handling capacity of 500 watts RMS and a linear Xmax of 14 mm, the LCS-10 V2 offers significantly more excursion headroom than many traditional entry-level woofers. The dual-magnet system, combined with the long-wound voice coil, ensures powerful and controlled movement of the cone.

To dissipate heat, the subwoofer features both a vented voice coil gap and a pole piece vent. The high-temperature-resistant 4-layer copper voice coil is therefore designed to withstand sustained high loads. A particularly sturdy steel basket, high-quality push terminals, and sewn-on flat strands round out the design, which is built for durability.

The dual 4-ohm voice coil allows for flexible wiring. For example, the two 4-ohm coils can be wired in parallel to 2 ohms or in series to 8 ohms. Sundown Audio recommends the LCS-10 V2 especially for compact bass-reflex enclosures.
