Wiring Wizard & Port Calculator

Use our wiring assistant for easy speaker and subwoofer connections! The correct connection is important for your amplifier! Low-impedance operation can damage the amplifier! The datasheet shows you which connection each amplifier is designed for!

Our port calculator shows you the tuning characteristics of your enclosure! The net volume is always particularly important here; calculate the subwoofer’s actual resonant chamber volume beforehand to get the correct result. The net volume is calculated by subtracting all dead spaces and is crucial for enclosure design.

Bedienungsanleitung

With the Ground Zero GZIB 3.250SPL, you get an Iridium Series enclosure subwoofer designed without compromise for high sound pressure levels. Three powerful 25-cm SPL subwoofers work together in an optimally tuned bass-reflex enclosure, creating an enormous cone area for impressive deep bass, high efficiency, and a powerful punch. The low total impedance allows for optimal power delivery from modern monoblock amplifiers, making the GZIB 3.250SPL the ideal choice for performance-oriented car audio and SPL systems. Despite its tremendous performance, the enclosure remains comparatively compact and is suitable for many vehicle designs.

Frequently asked questions about Ground Zero GZIB 3,250SPL

How much power does the GZIB 3.250SPL subwoofer require for optimum performance?

The Ground Zero GZIB 3.250SPL requires an RMS power output of 2,000 watts at an impedance of 1.4 ohms. To achieve full SPL performance, you should use a high-power amplifier capable of delivering this power consistently.

Can I run the GZIB 3.250SPL with less than 2,000 watts?

The optimum enclosure volume is 60 litres for the three 25cm subwoofers. This volume ensures the best balance between bass depth and signal stability for maximum SPL performance.

What is the ideal enclosure volume for the Ground Zero Iridium GZIB 3.250SPL?

Yes, the enclosed subwoofer will work even at lower power levels, but it won’t reach its full SPL potential. You’ll need at least 1,000–1,500 watts RMS to get the most out of the Ground Zero subwoofer.

How does the GZIB 3.250SPL differ from other Ground Zero subwoofers?

The GZIB 3.250SPL has been specially developed to deliver maximum sound pressure and features three 25cm drivers in an optimised enclosure. The Iridium series is renowned for its exceptionally high power handling and precise bass reproduction in the car audio sector.

What amplifier impedance is suitable for a 1.4-ohm system?

You’ll need an amplifier that operates stably at 1 ohm, as the GZIB 3.250SPL’s impedance of 1.4 ohms falls between the usual 1 and 2 ohm values. Make sure you choose a high-quality amplifier with a sufficient power supply.

How much does the complete GZIB 3.250SPL enclosed subwoofer weigh?

The total weight, including the three 25 cm drivers and the 60-litre enclosure, is considerable. Make sure you allow sufficient space and provide sturdy mounting points in the vehicle for installation.

Is the Ground Zero GZIB suitable for competitions?

Absolutely, the GZIB 3.250SPL was developed for SPL competitions. With its enormous power output of 2,000 watts and optimised enclosure, it is ideally suited to audio competitions.
