The ESX QXS8D4 from the QUANTUM series is an ultra-slim 20-cm subwoofer designed specifically for space-saving car audio installations. Thanks to its shallow installation depth of just 78 mm, this subwoofer is ideal for custom installations and compact subwoofer enclosures.
To ensure high stability and precise bass reproduction, ESX relies on a particularly rigid glass-fiber composite cone. The powerful 40-ounce dual-magnet drive features a generously sized 50-mm CCAW dual voice coil mounted on a glass-fiber carrier. The long-wound voice coil allows for a large cone excursion of ±15 mm, thereby enabling powerful bass reproduction despite the speaker’s slim profile.
The sturdy steel basket provides the necessary stability. Thanks to its two 4-ohm voice coils, the subwoofer can be flexibly adapted to different amplifier configurations.
