The Ground Zero GZCV 2.0HL is an active stereo high-level adapter designed to integrate an additional power amplifier into an existing car audio or factory sound system. It is particularly well-suited for car stereos and OEM systems that do not have suitable RCA preamp outputs.
The high-level signal present at the speaker outputs is converted by the GZCV 2.0HL into a low-level signal, which can then be sent to an amplifier via RCA connectors. This allows a separate power amplifier to be used even with many factory-installed radio systems.
A built-in auto-on function detects the incoming audio signal and also provides a 12-volt remote output. This output can handle a current of up to 500 mA and is used, for example, to automatically turn on the connected power amplifier.
With a maximum allowable input level of 35 V RMS, the active converter is designed for high-power, high-level signals. The maximum output level is 11.5 V RMS. The frequency response range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz covers the audio range relevant for car audio applications.
