Aerospace ZENITH - 9 MM

The Comfort Mat Aerospace ZENITH is the highest-performance damping mat in the Aerospace series and was developed specifically for vehicle areas exposed to particularly severe vibrations and high noise levels. Thanks to its innovative multi-layer construction, it combines vibration damping and sound insulation in a single mat, eliminating the need for a traditional two-layer configuration in many applications.

Thanks to its integrated heavy-duty foil and vibroacoustic mastic layer with foamed granules, Aerospace ZENITH extremely effectively reduces both structure-borne and airborne noise. At the same time, it increases the body’s stability and significantly minimizes disruptive resonances. Especially in the floor area, around the wheel wells, or in the rear, the mat ensures a considerably quieter vehicle interior and a noticeably higher-quality sound from the audio system.

Unlike conventional insulation systems, Aerospace ZENITH is applied as a single-layer system (the first and final layer). This significantly reduces installation time and, at the same time, reduces weight compared to traditional two-layer solutions without compromising insulation performance. This makes it particularly appealing for electric vehicles, sports cars, and high-end car audio projects, where maximum effectiveness with as little additional weight as possible is required.

Quick Installation Guide

1. Remove the vehicle trim and completely expose the area to be insulated.
2. Thoroughly clean the surface and degrease it with silicone remover or isopropyl alcohol.
3. Cut the mat to the desired size.
4. In low ambient temperatures, gently warm the mat with a hot-air blower to about 40–50 °C to improve its flexibility and adhesion.
5. Remove the protective film and carefully place the mat on the sheet metal.
6. Use a pressure roller to press it down evenly and firmly until the entire surface lies flat without any bubbles.
7. Roll over seams, curves, and edges particularly carefully to ensure a durable bond.
   

Note: The best insulation performance is achieved on a clean, dry, and grease-free surface. A complete, bubble-free bond is essential for maximum vibration and noise reduction.
