The Phoenix Gold ZXT10PR is a 10-inch passive diaphragm from the ZX series designed to support an actively driven subwoofer in a specially designed enclosure. Instead of its own magnetic drive and voice coil, the ZXT10PR uses the air pressure generated inside the subwoofer enclosure to set its diaphragm in motion.

This allows for targeted enhancement of bass reproduction from a compact enclosure. Especially in the low-bass range, the passive radiator can provide greater acoustic output without the need for an additional electrically powered subwoofer. This principle is therefore ideal for car audio installations where powerful low-bass performance needs to be combined with the most compact enclosure dimensions possible.

Phoenix Gold uses a rigid fiberglass cone with a butyl rubber surround in the ZXT10PR. A low-resonance basket made of stamped steel forms the mechanical foundation. The design is complemented by a polycotton suspension and an inverted polypropylene dust cap, which provides additional effective diaphragm area.

The optimized cone weight helps control the cone's excursion. A rubberized gasket also ensures an airtight fit in the designated subwoofer enclosure.

The ZXT10PR pairs perfectly with a compatible 10-inch subwoofer from the Phoenix Gold ZXT series, allowing for custom, exceptionally slim, and space-saving bass enclosures.
