The Phoenix Gold ZX65CSS is a 2-way component speaker system designed to enhance the sound quality of a car audio system. The separate arrangement of the 165-mm mid-bass driver and tweeter allows the individual speakers to be precisely positioned within the vehicle. This makes the system particularly well-suited for installations where balanced sound reproduction and a clean, three-dimensional soundstage are the top priorities.

The 165-mm mid-bass driver handles the bass and midrange frequencies, while the separate tweeter reproduces the high frequencies. Compared to a traditional coaxial speaker, the component design offers more flexibility in terms of the tweeter’s mounting position, thereby allowing for better adaptation to the acoustic conditions of the specific vehicle.

With a nominal impedance of 4 ohms, the ZX65CSS can be used both for classic car audio retrofits and in combination with a suitable external amplifier. The specified frequency range extends from 75 Hz to 20 kHz, and the sensitivity is 88 dB.

The system comes as a pair. Speaker grilles to protect the mid-bass drivers are also included.
