The net volume is always particularly important here; calculate the pure chamber of the subwoofer beforehand to arrive at the correct result. The net volume is calculated minus all displacements and is important when designing the enclosure.

The Phoenix Gold ZX18PDF is an exceptionally compact 8-inch subwoofer designed for car audio installations that require powerful bass while minimizing space requirements. The flat, sealed enclosure is ideal for vehicles with limited installation space and can be positioned flexibly thanks to its versatile design.

Inside, there is a 200-mm woofer with a 2-ohm impedance that can handle 250 watts RMS and briefly handle up to 500 watts of peak power. The large 24-mm peak-to-peak cone excursion enables powerful bass reproduction despite the compact dimensions.

To ensure high thermal resilience, Phoenix Gold uses a 1.5-inch high-temperature copper voice coil. A stitched High-Roll rubber surround supports controlled diaphragm movement and is designed to withstand long-term mechanical stress.

A unique feature of the ZX18PDF is its flexible 360° positioning. The enclosure can be oriented in various ways depending on the vehicle and available space—for example, horizontally, sideways, or with the woofer facing down. This makes the ZX18PDF particularly well-suited for discreet and space-saving subwoofer installations.
