Phoenix Gold ZR65CS

The Phoenix Gold ZR65CS is a high-performance 2-way component system designed for demanding car audio applications. The separate design of the mid-bass driver and tweeter allows for precise positioning of the individual speakers in the vehicle, laying the foundation for accurate and spatial music reproduction.

At the heart of the system are the 165-mm mid-bass drivers with a specially treated, black anodized aluminum cone. The rigid construction supports controlled reproduction and ensures a direct, dynamic sound, particularly in the midrange and kick bass frequencies. A powder-coated steel basket provides a stable, low-resonance base for the speaker.

For the high-frequency range, Phoenix Gold uses separate 25-mm silk dome tweeters with copper rings. These complement the low-midrange drivers by providing finely detailed high-frequency reproduction, and their separate design allows them to be optimally aligned toward the driver and front-seat passenger.

The included crossovers precisely divide the audio signal between the low-midrange driver and the tweeter. The crossover frequency is 4,500 Hz, with the high-pass and low-pass filters operating at a slope of 12 dB per octave. In addition, the tweeter level can be adjusted between 0 dB and -3 dB. This allows the high-frequency response to be better tailored to the installation location, vehicle acoustics, and personal preference.

With an RMS power handling capacity of 100 watts and a maximum power handling capacity of 300 watts, the ZR65CS is suitable for both high-quality system upgrades and use with a separate car audio power amplifier. The wide frequency range from 50 Hz to 20,000 Hz enables balanced reproduction from powerful low-midrange tones all the way up to the upper treble range.
