Phoenix Gold ZDA8.8 DSP

The Phoenix Gold ZDA8.8 combines a powerful 8-channel DSP with an integrated Class A/B power amplifier and was specifically designed for high-quality sound upgrades in modern vehicles. Eight amplified output channels allow for direct drive of the vehicle’s speakers, while an additional eight DSP-controlled RCA outputs are available for expanding the system with external power amplifiers.

A key feature of the ZDA8.8 is its seamless integration into existing OEM audio systems. Using the Molex connectors, the amplifier can be integrated into specific vehicle models in combination with compatible Phoenix Gold ZDT and ZDC cable sets. This enables plug-and-play installations in numerous applications without having to cut into the original vehicle wiring harness.

Six high-level and two low-level inputs are available for signal matching. In addition, digital input options include Bluetooth, coaxial, USB, and SPDIF. The integrated OEM Impedance Simulation Technology (OIS) also supports integration into factory-installed audio systems.

The DSP features a Burr Brown PCM1681 DAC with 24-bit signal processing and a 48-kHz sampling rate. Each channel can be extensively customized to the vehicle, the speakers used, and the desired sound profile. This includes a 31-band parametric or graphic equalizer, high-pass and low-pass filters, time alignment, phase reversal, and a freely configurable signal path.

Configuration is performed using the Phoenix Gold DSP software for Windows. In addition, the ZDA8.8 supports control via an app. With the optionally available Phoenix Gold ZDAWCT Wireless Controller, the system can be expanded to include a convenient remote control.
