The Phoenix Gold Z8S4 is a compact 20-cm (8") subwoofer that is particularly well-suited for car audio installations where powerful bass needs to be combined with a manageable footprint. With a 150-watt RMS power handling capacity, a single 4-ohm voice coil, and a maximum power handling capacity of 450 watts, it can be easily integrated into a wide variety of sound systems.

The Z8S4 is designed to deliver a controlled and powerful diaphragm excursion. Its 38-mm high-temperature copper voice coil operates on a black anodized aluminum voice coil former. A long-throw centering spider and the high-profile rubber surround support the diaphragm even at higher volume levels and with greater excursion.

With an installation depth of just 102 mm, the Z8S4 remains relatively compact, opening up interesting possibilities for space-saving subwoofer enclosures. Phoenix Gold recommends the woofer for both sealed and bass-reflex enclosures. This allows the tuning to be optimized for either precise or powerful bass, depending on the desired result.

Convenient speaker terminals also make wiring easier during installation.
