The Phoenix Gold Z65CSi is a compact 2-way component system designed to replace stock car speakers and for car audio installations that require a shallow mounting depth. The set combines separate 165-mm mid-bass drivers with tweeters and passive crossovers. This allows the tweeters and mid-bass drivers to be positioned independently of one another to achieve a better soundstage inside the vehicle.

The mid-bass drivers feature a polypropylene cone that combines low weight with high dimensional stability. A butyl rubber surround ensures controlled cone movement and is designed for long-term use under the varying temperature and humidity conditions inside a vehicle.

For the high-frequency range, Phoenix Gold uses PEI tweeters with ferrofluid. The ferrofluid aids heat transfer in the voice coil area while also helping to dampen it. This ensures reliable high-frequency reproduction even during extended listening sessions.

A key advantage of the Z65CSi is its compact design. The 165-mm low-midrange driver requires only 46 mm of installation depth and a 126 mm cutout. This makes the system particularly suitable for vehicles where space behind the door panel is limited.

With a 40-watt RMS power handling capacity per system, 160 watts of peak power, 4-ohm impedance, and a frequency range of 69 Hz to 20 kHz, the Z65CSi is an attractive option for use with compatible car stereos and compact car audio power amplifiers.
