The Phoenix Gold Z18PB is a compact 20-cm (8") subwoofer housed in a ready-to-use bass-reflex enclosure and is ideal for adding a powerful low-frequency foundation to a car audio system. Thanks to its compact design, the subwoofer can also be installed in vehicles where trunk space is limited.

The enclosure is made of 16 mm thick MDF and was specifically designed to accommodate the 8-inch subwoofer. A specially designed bass reflex port enhances low-frequency reproduction and makes efficient use of the enclosure’s volume. The angled baffle further contributes to the enclosure’s well-thought-out design.

The Z18PB has an RMS power handling capacity of 150 watts and a maximum power handling capacity of 450 watts. With an impedance of 4 ohms, it can be paired with a wide range of car audio mono and multichannel amplifiers. The resonance frequency is 39.9 Hz.

For easy installation, the screw terminals are located on the back of the enclosure. This allows the speaker wire to be securely connected and the subwoofer to be just as easily removed from the vehicle if necessary.

Measuring just 445 × 325 × 260 mm, the Phoenix Gold Z18PB combines a relatively compact design with the bass performance of a full-fledged 20-cm subwoofer. An interesting solution for anyone who wants to add more depth to their factory-installed or aftermarket sound system without having to install a large subwoofer enclosure.
