ESX VXP822G

The ESX VXP822G from the VISION VXP series was developed specifically for high-quality subwoofer installations where mounting depth is limited. Despite its very slim design, this 20-cm subwoofer offers high power handling and powerful drive, making it ideal for compact sealed enclosures and space-saving car audio installations.

ESX developed numerous components from scratch for the VXP series. The solid cast aluminum basket integrates the magnetic drive in a particularly compact manner while also ensuring high mechanical stability. As a result, the VXP822G has an installation depth of just 87 mm.

The multilayer fiberglass honeycomb diaphragm combines low weight with high rigidity. A stable honeycomb structure is used inside the diaphragm, while the outer surfaces are reinforced with fiberglass. As a result, the diaphragm remains resistant to torsion even under large deflections and can precisely convert the drive signal into sound pressure.

A specially optimized surround provides approximately 15% more usable diaphragm area compared to a conventional design. Combined with the powerful dual-magnet driver and the 50-mm CCAW voice coil, the VXP822G thus delivers high bass performance despite its compact dimensions.

The 32-mm-high CCAW voice coil is mounted on an exceptionally lightweight fiberglass frame. The low moving mass improves response and enhances efficiency. With a power handling capacity of 300 watts RMS, the VXP822G is suitable for both sound-oriented systems and high-performance, compact subwoofer solutions.

Thanks to its 2+2-ohm dual voice coil, the subwoofer can be wired flexibly and operated, for example, at a total impedance of 1 ohm or 4 ohms.

A sturdy aluminum protective grille with the ESX logo embossed on it is included with the product to protect the diaphragm.
