ESX Q208A

The ESX QUANTUM Q208A is a compact active subwoofer designed specifically for space-saving installation in vehicles. As the successor to the proven Q202A, this model offers a significantly increased amplifier power of 150 watts RMS, ensuring powerful bass reproduction despite its compact size.

The rugged aluminum enclosure is only 78 mm tall, making it suitable for installation under many vehicle seats. In addition to the actively driven 20-cm subwoofer, the system features two oval passive radiators positioned on the sides. These enhance low-frequency reproduction through additional air displacement and provide a powerful bass foundation despite the compact design. Sturdy metal covers protect the side diaphragms.

Power is provided by an integrated Class A/B amplifier with 150 watts RMS and a maximum output power of 300 watts. The bass response can be customized to the vehicle's acoustics using the adjustable low-pass filter, bass boost, and phase reversal.

Thanks to its high-level and RCA inputs, the Q208A can be connected to both aftermarket radios and many factory-installed sound systems. The automatic power-on function allows for operation even without a separate remote control wire. A wired bass-level remote control allows for convenient adjustment of the bass level from the driver’s seat.
