AudioControl EPICPRO69CX

The AudioControl EPICPRO69CX is a high-performance 6x9-inch coaxial speaker from the EPIC PRO series, designed specifically for car audio systems that demand high sound levels. The PROAXIAL design combines a powerful midrange driver with a centrally mounted bullet tweeter. This results in a compact speaker unit designed for high volume, clear speech and detailed reproduction, as well as a bold, assertive sound.

With a power handling capacity of 200 watts RMS and 300 watts peak, a high sensitivity of 97.6 dB at 2.83 V/1 m, and an impedance of 4 ohms, the EPICPRO69CX is particularly well-suited for high-performance systems. Its high efficiency allows for a remarkable sound pressure level even with relatively moderate amplifier power.

For midrange reproduction, AudioControl relies on a rigid paper cone with a double-rolled fabric surround. This design combines direct responsiveness with good mechanical control. A high-strength basket made of stamped steel provides the necessary stability. The integrated tweeter features a titanium diaphragm and a specially developed horn to reproduce high frequencies clearly and with presence, even at higher volumes.

A copper shorting ring helps control the driver and contributes to an extended usable frequency range. The EPICPRO69CX can therefore be easily integrated into high-performance front or rear systems and, especially when combined with a subwoofer, can be expanded into a car audio system with exceptionally high volume stability.
