USINA 70A Smart Connect

The USINA 70A Smart Connect is a high-performance, microprocessor-controlled power supply and battery charger for demanding 12-volt applications. With an output current of up to 70 amps and a maximum output power of 875 watts, the unit is particularly well-suited for car audio systems, battery banks, show cars, workshops, and other applications that require a stable and high-performance DC power supply.

Unlike a simple power supply, the Smart-Connect series offers extensive features for controlled battery charging. The integrated Smart Charger Plus monitors the charging process and adjusts it to fully charge the battery without unnecessarily overloading it. In addition to traditional lead-acid batteries, lithium battery systems can also be used, provided that the respective specifications of the battery or BMS manufacturer are followed.

The output voltage can be adjusted within the range of 12 to 16 volts DC. This allows the USINA 70A Smart Connect to be used both for charging and maintaining a battery and for directly powering 12-volt devices. Especially with high-powered car audio systems, the power supply can supplement the existing power source and take the load off the battery during extended listening sessions, at events, or in demonstration vehicles.

Another feature is the backlit display. Among other things, it can be used as a voltmeter and allows you to monitor the current voltage as well as the minimum and maximum voltages reached during operation. The intelligent Smart Cooler system controls the fan based on the device’s temperature, thereby reducing unnecessary fan noise.

For advanced settings, the Smart Connect is compatible with the USINA Digital Control Center, which is sold separately. This allows you to conveniently configure and monitor various operating and charging parameters.
