The Ground Zero GZCF 6.5XSPL is a high-performance 16.5-cm coaxial speaker system from the Competition Series, designed for applications that require high efficiency and powerful sound levels. Thanks to its coaxial 2-way design, a centrally mounted 28-mm PEI tweeter handles the high frequencies, while the 165-mm paper cone covers the midrange and bass frequencies.

With a power handling capacity of 100 watts RMS and up to 250 watts peak, the system offers ample headroom for high-performance car audio installations. Its high efficiency of 94 dB enables a powerful output level even with relatively low amplifier power.

The pressed paper diaphragm is combined with a long-stroke foam W-surround. The diaphragm and construction are designed for demanding operating conditions and feature UV resistance and water repellency. The driver uses a ferrite magnet in conjunction with a 38-mm voice coil made of copper-coated flat aluminum wire.

The 28-mm PEI tweeter is connected via a 12 dB/octave crossover. A low-resonance steel basket provides a stable base for the speaker. The package also includes hexagonal protective grilles, so the drivers can be protected when mounted in plain view.
