The GAS Audio MAX PM2-84 was developed for uncompromising SPL applications and is designed for anyone who wants to combine maximum volume with high speech intelligibility and dynamic range. The powerful 8-inch midrange driver boasts an exceptionally high sensitivity of 102 dB and reproduces vocals and instruments with precision and impact, even at extreme volume levels.
At the heart of the speaker is a large HQ ferrite magnet combined with a 2-inch CCAW voice coil mounted on a TIL carrier, as well as a copper shorting ring that reduces distortion and ensures clean sound reproduction. The robust A3D paper cone works in conjunction with a polycotton/Nomex suspension and a durable 2R fabric surround, enabling the speaker to operate reliably even under high continuous load.
The solid steel basket with special A-Star ventilation improves heat dissipation from the voice coil and enables consistently high power handling. Thanks to its generously sized terminals, which accommodate speaker cables up to 10 mm², the MAX PM2-84 is ideal for high-performance car audio and SPL systems.
