GZNK 165SQ-K

The Ground Zero GZNK 165SQ-K from the NUCLEAR series is a high-quality 165-mm low-midrange driver designed for high-end car audio systems where precise and controlled music reproduction is a top priority. Its design combines a lightweight Kevlar cone with a powerful neodymium-ferrite hybrid driver and a sturdy die-cast aluminum basket.

The Kevlar cone offers high rigidity combined with comparatively low weight. This allows the speaker to respond quickly to audio signals, making it suitable for both dynamic bass reproduction and detailed midrange performance. With a usable frequency range of 40 Hz to 5 kHz, the GZNK 165SQ-K can be flexibly used in high-quality 2-way or 3-way active systems.

For the driver, Ground Zero relies on a neodymium-ferrite hybrid system. This is complemented by a 38-mm CCA voice coil and a copper cap to linearize the impedance. These design features support controlled sound reproduction and reduce unwanted influences from the drive system.

The torsionally rigid die-cast aluminum basket provides a stable mounting for the moving components and features a sophisticated ventilation system. A durable NBR rubber surround allows for the necessary cone movement. With 130 watts RMS and a maximum power handling capacity of 190 watts, the woofer/midrange driver also offers sufficient power reserves for performance-oriented sound-quality installations.

The design includes a GZ-Design Hexagon-NRG protective grille to protect the speaker. Connection is via a high-quality gold-plated terminal. The GZNK 165SQ-K is sold as a pair.
