The Ground Zero GZIC 165.2SPL from the IRIDIUM series is designed for car audio applications that require high volume levels and dynamic sound reproduction. This 2-way component system combines separate 165-mm mid-bass drivers with 25-mm Mylar tweeters, allowing for flexible placement of the individual speakers within the vehicle.

The low-midrange drivers feature an HQPP cone with a distinctive 3D structure. Combined with the long-throw rubber surround, the system is designed for robust and powerful sound reproduction. A low-resonance steel basket provides a stable base for the 165-mm drivers, while the ferrite motor ensures the necessary drive.

With an impedance of 3 ohms, the GZIC 165.2SPL makes particularly effective use of the available amplifier power. The system can handle 120 watts RMS and up to 200 watts of peak power, covering a frequency range from 45 Hz to 20 kHz. This makes it suitable for both performance-oriented front systems and custom car audio setups with higher volume requirements.

Separate 25-mm Mylar dome tweeters are used for the high-frequency range. The corresponding high-pass filter has a slope of 12 dB per octave and a crossover frequency of 5,000 Hz. The low-midrange drivers feature Euro-DIN mounting dimensions, allowing them to be installed in numerous vehicle-specific mounting locations or with compatible speaker adapters.
