The SounDigital 8000.1 EVO 5.0 was developed for high-performance subwoofer systems and combines enormous output power with a compact, efficient Class D design. The advanced EVO 5.0 platform ensures high energy efficiency, stable power output, and reliable operation even in demanding installations. Thanks to extensive filter and adjustment options, the amplifier can be optimally tuned to a wide variety of bass systems—from precision audio installations to performance-oriented SPL applications.

Thanks to its compact dimensions, the monoblock is also suitable for vehicles with limited installation space. The high-quality construction, powerful power supply, and integrated protection circuits ensure consistently reliable operation.

What is the power consumption of the SounDigital 8000.1 Evo when operating at full power?

Power consumption depends on actual usage. At a maximum power output of 8,000 W RMS, the amplifier can draw up to 800 amps, depending on its efficiency and the music playback conditions. For normal music playback, you should expect a draw of around 400–600 amps.

What cable cross-sections do I need for the 8000.1 Evo 5.0?

For the power supply, we recommend a cable with a cross-sectional area of at least 50 mm², ideally 70 mm² for longer cable runs. The earth wire should have the same cross-sectional area. Use high-quality fuses with a total capacity of at least 400 amperes.

Can I also run the amplifier at 2 or 4 ohms?

Yes, the SounDigital 8000.1 Evo also works with higher impedances. At 2 ohms, it delivers around 4000W RMS, and at 4 ohms, approximately 2000W RMS. However, it only reaches its full power output of 8000W RMS at 1 ohm.

How hot does the amplifier get when running continuously?

Thanks to the improved efficiency of version 5.0, heat build-up remains moderate. With normal ventilation and correct installation, the amplifier operates stably even during prolonged music playback. Additional fan cooling is recommended in the event of extreme continuous load.

What is included with the SounDigital 8000.1?

The amplifier is supplied with an instruction manual and mounting screws. Power cables, fuses, RCA cables and other installation materials must be purchased separately. Its compact dimensions of 31 cm x 18 cm make installation easy.

Which subwoofers are best suited to the 8000.1 Evo 5.0?

The amplifier is ideal for high-power subwoofers with a 1-ohm impedance and a minimum RMS power handling capacity of 3,000W. Two 2-ohm dual-voice-coil subwoofers connected in parallel, or four 4-ohm woofers, provide the ideal 1-ohm load for maximum power.

Are there any differences between the Evo 5.0 and older versions?

The Evolution 5.0 version offers significantly improved efficiency, meaning it requires less electricity whilst delivering the same output. The filter section has been optimised and reliability under continuous load has been improved. The weight and dimensions have remained virtually unchanged.
